I know I am starting early but, twenty-fourteen has been a great year for me. I can’t say that everything has gone right but for the most part it has been a year of blessings for my family and me. That being said there have still been things this year, which I wish I could say, didn’t happen. These are not things that necessarily happened to me but things we all had to put up with that can just go away and never return, and they are in no particular order.
- Anything Kardashian. Why are these people not gone yet? I run a small non-profit which is trying to help families with special needs and we can’t scrape together a few nickels. These people show their butts and make millions! They need to go away!
- Robo-calls. The election calls started in January and never stopped. I am about to shut off my home phone because I never get a real call on it. The few who do call me can just call my cell from now on.
- Worship Music, or what is being called worship music. This year I have sung “whoa oh” far too many times, and if I repeat the chorus of a song fifteen times in a row again, I am going to scream! I have a question for the music pastor, did you know those songs have verses as well as the chorus? I am also not fond of the mash-up, I like the old hymns and wouldn’t mind an old organ led rendition of Amazing Grace every once in a while. Thou I would like to thank you for enclosing the drummer in a Plexiglas box, it has allowed me to hear the other instruments.
