Another list of Friday Annoyances!

black-magic-voodoo-head-vector-cartoon-illustration_MJwNa0_dOK, I know too many things annoy me. But I just can’t help it sometimes. People have the greatest capacity for Joy, kindness and charity. They also have the enormous ability for stupidity and just general nonsense. It is Friday and I shouldn’t be this annoyed but some folks just need to stop the madness. Today is my list of the top stupid people of the week.
1. The guy weaving in and out of cars on the highway. Hey stupid the shoulder is not a passing lane, you are the guy that will back up traffic for miles when you cause an accident. Knock it off!
2. The guy in the checkout lane who can’t figure out what he wants. Why did you put all that stuff in the cart if you were not planning on buying it? And for God’s sake why do you have to split it into different purchases? Figure out your issues before you get to the checkout!
3. The news guy who interviews the village idiot! Are you trying to make a viral video? Stop finding the worst person you can interview just so someone can add music and auto tune it for YouTube! Interview someone with something to add to the story or has at least a rudimentary understanding of the English language that way I actually know what is happening not slapping my forehead in disgust!

What happened to Country Music?

Disco BackgroundMy wife is a fan of country music. While I prefer the classic rock station, thank you to the greatest music ever, I usually will listen with her and can enjoy the music as well. One thing has changed lately thou that is making me cringe. Country music was known for steel guitar slides and banjos. Now what I hear is drum machines. I call the latest craze country disco, even rap has made it to the country station. The other night they had a special on television with all the award winners from this year, none of them sounded country. One of the guys was dressed in a skater boy outfit complete with flipped up hat and Van shoes. I don’t know what happened but somewhere there is a pop station missing its music. I want to blame Taylor Swift but if they had just played the country stuff this might not have happened. I don’t expect everyone in country to be wearing a ten gallon hat and cowboy boots with wranglers tucked in, but if I wanted to listen to disco or pop there are plenty of other stations I could turn to. I guess radio stations want to make money, and they make money by playing what people want to hear. I just can imagine country music fans being ok with the Gladys night and the pips version of their version of music.
